Lead Pastor
Pastor Chris felt God leading him into full-time ministry while he was still in High School, and began leading in student ministry during his freshman year of College at Texas A&M. He married his college sweetheart in 2006, and God blessed them with two boys.
Just after graduation from Texas A&M, Chris joined the Grace Fellowship team in May of 2004 as the student pastor while pursuing a Masters in Divinity. In 2009, God led Julie and Chris to take a position in the Woodlands, TX, at Woodlands Church, where he served as the High School Pastor. Then in 2011, they felt called to join the team at Prestonwood in Dallas as the Dallas Campus Student Pastor. After an encouraging and fruitful season of ministry in Dallas, God led them to Odessa, TX, where he became the Executive Student Pastor of Student Ministries and later the Teaching Pastor at Crossroads Fellowship.
During the fall of 2018, God led Chris and Julie to pray about what he wanted them to do in their next season of ministry, and during that time, God made it abundantly clear that he was calling them back to Grace Fellowship in Paradise, TX. In December of 2018, Chris joined the staff as the Teach Pastor and Weekend Experience Director with a strategic transition plan in place (that had been developed by the founding pastor BJ Rutledge) to become the Lead Pastor in February of 2021. God has given Chris a vision to inspire and equip people to know and follow Jesus, and he is excited about seeing God’s power at work here in Paradise.
